   J Ray McGaha Named Director at Overland Conveyor

Littleton, CO, May 1, 2003 – W. G. Zimmermann, Chairman, Overland Conveyor Co, Inc., announced today the addition of J. Ray McGaha to the Board of Directors effective May 1, 2003.

 In making the announcement, Zimmermann remarked, “We are delighted to add Mr. McGaha to our board. He brings a wealth of invaluable international experience in both commercial and technical areas, which a young, growing company such as Overland Conveyor desperately needs. As we continue to expand our technical services in the mining industry, Mr. McGaha’s vision and support will be a welcomed addition.

McGaha recently retired after 37 years of service with the Continental Global Group Inc. He held the position of Senior Vice President Sales and Engineering and was a Director for Continental Conveyor Pty Ltd – Australia, Continental Conveyor Ltd - United Kingdom and Continental Meco – South Africa. 

McGaha received a B.S. in Mining Engineering from the University of Alabama in 1966. In 1987 he received the Outstanding Fellow Award from the Department of Mineral Engineering and in 1988 was named a College of Engineering 150th Anniversary Distinguished Engineering Fellow. He also sits on the Capstone Engineering Society Board of Directors and the Civil Engineering Department Advisory Board. In 2001, he became a member of the King Coal Club. McGaha is also a member of the Illinois and Indiana Mining Institute as well as the Canadian Mining Institute and Society of Mining Engineers of AIME.
