OCC Partners with Metso Minerals in Brazil

In late 2003, Overland Conveyor Co began providing belt conveyor technical design services in Brazil through alliance partner "Metso Minerals". Metso Minerals is a large manufacturer of conveyor components and conveyor systems in Brazil as well as many other types of bulk material handling and processing equipment. Overland Conveyor Co will be suppling technical expertise on larger overland conveyor projects at CVRD and other Brazilian mining operations.

The first successful project OCC participated in was at CVRD's Sossego copper mine. You may have reports of this project coming in ahead of schedule and under budget. OCC provided Metso and CVRD with advanced analysis and simulation consulting including Dynamic Analysis of stopping and starting of this difficult application.

Upcoming Events- MinExpo 2000

The largest mining show in the Western hemishere will be bigger and better than ever September 27-30, 2004.

Come see us at:

Session 4 - Bulk Materials Handling 2.00-4.00pm

“Latest Developments in Belt Conveyor Technology”, M.A. Alspaugh

Abstract

Bulk material transportation requirements have continued to press the belt conveyor industry to carry higher tonnage over longer distances and more diverse routes. In order keep up, significant technological advances have been required in the field of system design, analysis and numerical simulation. The application of traditional components in non-traditional applications requiring horizontal curves and intermediate drives have changed and expanded belt conveyor possibilities. Examples of complex conveying applications along with the numerical tools required to insure reliability and availability will be reviewed.

Several of us will be at Booth 3258 in the Exibition hall from 9:00am Monday till noon on Thursday. Come see us and see the revolutionary way to handle granular and particulate material problems through numeric simulation.
